St. James Farm Surprise Proposal | Lindsey & Ricardo

Memories that will be cherished forever! This was one of my most favorite shoots of all time in one of my favorite forest preserves of all time. Yes St. James Farm Forest Preserve in Winfield, IL. Best of all, it was secretly a proposal shoot and Lindsey didn’t know!

Let me just start this story by saying, I can’t imagine what it’s like asking someone you love a life altering question. That nerve-wracking, heart-pounding moment that could change your life forever? I can’t, but that's exactly what Ricardo must have felt as he planned a surprise proposal during Lindsey and his couples shoot.

I was really excited when Ricardo contacted me for this. He had the whole thing planned and I just helped him execute it. Imagine the look of shock and joy on Lindsey's face when Ricardo got down on one knee, surrounded by the stunning backdrop of the forest preserve and their beloved furry companion. It was a moment frozen in time, captured forever in photographs that will tell their beautiful love story for years to come.

Who wouldn't want to be a part of such a magical moment? Capturing the raw emotions, the genuine smiles, and the overwhelming love between two people is what I live for as a photographer. It's not just about snapping pictures, it's about creating lasting memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

And let's not forget about Lindsey's best friend, who was there to witness and support this special occasion. Friends who stand by us in our most important moments are like precious gems, adding an extra sparkle to an already bright day.

As I clicked away with my camera, I couldn't help but feel grateful to be invited into these intimate moments, to witness the connection between two souls, and to freeze time in a photograph that will tell a beautiful story.
